Located just outside the town of Oldcastle in Co. Meath, the Loughcrew cairns are a series of approx 30 tombs situated across a ridge of four hills. Of a similar age to the monuments of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth (c.3,000BC) and located on the highest point in County Meath there are spectacular views from the cairns to the surrounding and distant landscapes.
